Application The adhoco.S2 is a radio-controlled dimmer. With this dimmer, it is possible to continually dim any sources of light up to a total power of 300 W. The adhoco.S2 dimmer is installed in junction boxes, recess-mounted boxes or in similar places provided for electrotechnical installations. It serves fixed terminal equipment (e.g. ceiling lamps) as well as connected power sockets for mobile terminal equipment (e.g. standard lamps).

The user has ways to control the lightlevel:

• by any commercially available switch or push-button (insulation: 230 V AC) which is connected to the adhoco.S2 dimmer by a two-wire cable;
• via radio commands, from the adhoco.H1 control unit or an adhoco.R1 remote control.

Up to 16 rooms can be equipped with any number of Adhoco components and controlled by a single adhoco.H1 control unit.

In case of a fault on the adhoco.H1 control unit, the adhoco.S2  continues to work in the manual operation without limitation.

The installation must be carried out by a qualified specialist.

Operation

Manual operation:

The adhoco.S2 dimmer is operated via a standard push-button. As long as the push-button is pressed, the lightlevel increases or decreases slowly. Pressing the push-button briefly switches the power completely on or off. The adhoco.S2 can also be operated with the adhoco.R1 remote control.

Automatic dimming:

When connected to a adhoco.H1 central unit, the adhoco.S2 is automatically operated by the adhoco.H1 control unit without requiring any additional programming. The switching program for different dimming functions (e.g. continuous light regulation) is already predefined in the adhoco.H1 control unit.

Auto-adaption:

Manual system operation via a push-button or the adhoco.R1 remote control causes the control unit adhoco.H1 to recognize the user's preferences and automatically adapts the switching program of the adhoco.H1 control unit (see Manual adhoco.H1).
